Closed
on the House. Way too much signing... Got a very Nice gift basket from
Bill and Kathleen, our brokers, not to mention a mower and weed-wacker.
Very cool.
Discovered a bunch
of antiques that were left in the house. Some of them cool and we're
gonna use... others are just pure $$$$! Woo-hoo! |

25-26, 1999 |
Among other
things we started to clean and paint the basement. Ended up being a
bit more work than we thought. Moved the extra fridge that was left
by the previous owner downstairs. The beer fridge! Yes! Thanks Jim and
Gail! Bill managed to pour a few gallons of paint down his shorts by
leaving the lid of the Power-RollerTM. |

Marcia took
the day off and is continuing work on the basement. Will it never end?
And where's that &#@% insulation contractor?
Bill paints and
cleans at night... Has anyone used the downstairs potty yet. Does anyone
dare? |

Worked
on scraping windows and cleaning up. Found leakage in the basement.
We began to get stressed out at this point. We almost ripped a mirror
off the car realizing how small the garage is... Not a good night. |

shopping and a little apartment packing. Borrowing the Wet-Dry Vac from

Continued work
on the basement and removed funky polka dot shelf paper from the kitchen
cabinets. The basement floor is ready to paint! |

Got up early
for the guy from a window company to come in and give us an estimate.
Yikes!
Began preping the
kitchen and pantry for painting and Marcia painted the first section
of floor in the basement, Bill did the second! Painted the trim in the
pantry and kitchen. |

Got a later
start today. But we dove right in and while Bill finished cleaning and
painting the basement floor, Marcia painted in the pantry and kitchen
trim. looks good! I think it's called "water pitcher green". Basement
is pretty much done by the end of the day, just needs touch up. Ready
to move stuff in... |

the dining room ready for painting and finished up the kitchen trim |

Carole, Bill's
mom, was supposed to come out tonite Her car decided to break down in
Battle Creek. :-( Amy from Marcia's work came over thought and they
finished both the kitchen and the dining room! We had to restrain Amy
from painting the entire house... |

Painted the
living room and other small projects... Put together the base cabinet
for the pantry. Woo-hoo! |

Miscellaneous
stuff mostly. Had to take top part of cabinets back, because it ended
up it was another bottom! DOH! |

Marcia's friend
Amy from LPI came over on Friday to help paint... got a lot done! Both
the dining room and kitchen are painted. Bill spent much of the night
shopping and wrestling with some metal shelving. Saturday did some prep
work for cabinets and painting the bedroom. |

Thanks Cheryl
for all the painting work! finished up the cabinets with the help of
Gail and Judy. Today seemed to be the day of accidents, Bill almost
took out the entire cabinet with himself and Just took out her tendon
with a blade! We feel really bad... |

like work on the house took a much larger priorty than telling about
it on this webpage! I'll just give you a shortweekly update of what
after after the seventeenth. |

Hernia movers
came on Monday to move the big stuff. Did an excellent job! Spent most
of the week packing and doing this and that on the house. Definately
starting to wear out. Moved most of the stuff on the weekend. Thank
you very much to Nancy and her vehicle, Gail & Jim and the new minivan,
and Cheryl for their help! |

More stuff to
move still... Cleaning apartment... Are we done yet. Stayed for first
night on Wednesday at house! Gail cam out for final cleaning on Saturday.
That's the day we turned in our keys and said goodbye to the old place.
It will be missed strangely enuff. |
